'Hagakure' - hidden among the leaves - is a reference to bushido, the way of the warrior. Part of this creed has led to the idea of cherry blossom representing the perfect death - that when the individual blossom is at its most perfect, it falls.
In the western tradition, we understand the transience of all plants and, in this section, I try to capture the spirit, the character of the plant at a single moment in its existence.
